Ego, our volume control, allows for massive mountains of distorted output as the Death Drive is a very high-output device. Drive and Destruction work together to shape the gain amount of the effect as primary and secondary gain controls, respectively. Destruction allows for a natural, tube-like distortion full of vintage character at lower settings and a marvelously compressed and saturation at higher settings retaining plenty of clarity for individual notes. Drive's secondary gain control enables a second step of gain shaping that plays incredibly well with Destruction.
